It can be tough to find a cute swimsuit that looks good on my body and covers what I want it to cover—like those new tiger stripes I’ve recently earned. I’m pretty sure most moms can relate, and some also have to deal with stretch marks from pregnancy, breastfeeding, etc. And don’t get me wrong, we can show our stretch marks poolside with pride! There’s nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of. And it’s helpful for our kids to see us being confident with our bodies. But if you’re like me and feel more confident being a bit more modest in your swimsuit choices, I have some great options. These bathing suits that cover stretch marks will help you enjoy summer, beach days, and pool days in style and with confidence. 🙂
Cute Bathing Suits That Cover Stretch Marks
One-Pieces
Thankfully one-piece swimsuits are back in style, and more and more women are wearing them. Here are some great one-piece bathing suits that will help with coverage.
1. Colorplay Lace One-Piece Swimsuit
This is a gorgeous bathing suit that has amazing detail. I love that it still shows some skin but covers what I want to—stretch marks on the tummy and around the breasts. If you need more size options, here’s a stunning plus-size option and a more affordable similar style option.
2. Floral Print Cutout One-Piece
The fun pattern, the cutout, and the gorgeous colors make this swimsuit a keeper! It ties in the back and has removable cups. It also comes in black, which is always a classic.
3. Scalloped Knotted One-Piece
This swimsuit is so fun and feminine! The scalloped detail at the top and bottom is super cute. The textured fabric makes this swimsuit extra flattering. It’s a timeless piece that will always be in style.
4. Beach Riot Sydney One-Piece Swimsuit
This one-piece is adorable and perfect for the post-baby body. The square neckline and ribbed fabric make this a flattering and beautiful suit. We love the adjustable tie straps that give this suit a feminine touch.
5. Off-the-Shoulder Ruffle One-Piece
I love a good ruffle suit like this to show off the shoulders. This flirty off-the-shoulder ruffle and the flattering navy color are stunning. It’s perfect for every woman, not just us post-baby moms.
6. Floral Plunge Wrap One-Piece
How cute is this bathing suit, right? A plunging v-neckline brings the perfect amount of sassy style to this printed swimsuit, further enhanced by an open back. The colorful floral pattern sweetly compliments your mom style, and the wrap design lends a figure-flattering look you’ll love. From tropical vacays to lounging poolside, this floral swimsuit has you covered in a delightful style. This swimsuit also comes in plus sizes.
7. The One-Shoulder One-Piece
This suit has it all! The one-shoulder and medium-rise leg are super slimming, combined with the color-blocking available in the widest array of colors. This suit comes in sizes 2-24, so there is truly a pick for every body, and it has the reviews to prove it!
Two-Pieces
If you want some two-piece swimsuit options, I’ve got you! Here are some tankinis and high-waist bathing suits that I think you’ll love that still cover up any stretch marks you’re trying to hide.
1. Neutral Stripe High-Waist Bikini
The neutral stripes add sophisticated glamour, and a higher waist creates slimming flattery for retro-inspired bikini briefs designed with plenty of coverage. And here’s the bottom that goes with it. A cool look for a hot day!
2. Peplum Tankini
This is an excellent option if you’re looking for a swimsuit that doesn’t cling to the body. The draping on this suit is very flattering, especially for moms that just had a baby. But, honestly, this swimsuit would be adorable for anyone. So classic! As a bonus, the bottoms are high-waisted for extra support.
3. Floral Tankini with Swim Skirt
I love a good high-waisted bathing suit, and this suit is too cute. This floral high-waisted swim skirt offers a streamlined, flattering fit. I love the ruffle detail on each of the shoulders!
4. Mid-Waist V-Neck Wrap Tankini
This tankini comes in several different prints, but the red stripe is my favorite! The underwire makes it very supportive, and adjustable straps are handy to make it a custom fit. Don’t forget to grab the matching bikini bottoms!
5. One-Shoulder, Two-Piece High-Waisted Swimsuit
This classic tankini is great for all shapes and sizes, and I love the one-shoulder detail! It’s the perfect amount of coverage while still showing a little skin. Definitely a favorite!
6. Cinched Tankini
Here’s another great tankini. A perfect look for active moms! The tie detail expertly accentuates the chest area for a flattering fit. It comes in a gorgeous blue-green as well as this classic black. Here are bikini bottoms that match and have ties as well as compression.
7. One-Shoulder, High-Waisted Bikini
How fun is this swimsuit?! I love a good stripe design, and the color green is in this year. This Old Navy suit is too cute to pass up. The one-shoulder is great, and it also comes in four additional prints. Pair with the high-rise bottoms that hold everything in. What’s not to love? The pieces are sold separately, so here is the link to the bikini bottoms.
Tips For Getting Rid of Stretch Marks
All of these bathing suits are great options to hide the stretch marks you might have gained from pregnancy or breastfeeding. You may have been doing a few things to try and prevent getting stretch marks, but if you already have them and you’re looking to get rid of them (or at least reduce the appearance of your stretch marks), here are a few natural tips that can help:
Castor Oil
Castor oil has been used to treat several skin problems. For example, wrinkles, age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines, and pimples. It can also help get rid of stretch marks. Here’s how:
- Apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Wrap the area with a thin cotton cloth. Using a hot water bottle or a heating pad, apply some heat to the affected area for at least half an hour.
- Repeat this process daily for at least one month to notice positive results.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera has many soothing properties and can treat many skin issues, including getting rid of stretch marks. There are a couple of ways to apply it:
- You can directly rub aloe vera gel on the affected skin area, leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
- Another option is to make a mixture with one-fourth cup of aloe vera gel, oil from 10 vitamin E capsules, and oil from five vitamin A capsules. Rub this mixture onto the skin until fully absorbed. Repeat this process daily.
Lemon Juice
Another simple way to lessen stretch marks is to use lemon juice. Lemon juice is naturally acidic, helping heal and reduce stretch marks, acne, and other scars.
- One option is to gently rub fresh lemon juice onto the stretch marks using circular motions. Allow the lemon juice to soak into your skin for at least 10 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.
- Another option is to mix equal quantities of cucumber juice and lemon juice and apply the mixture on the stretch marks.
Happy summer! I hope you enjoyed our list!
